This privacy policy applies to every app NoBS Apps publishes. The first part covers things that are true for all our apps. The second part has app-specific notes for individual apps that handle data slightly differently.
NoBS Apps is a small software company run by Daniel Shepherd, an individual developer based in the United States. There is no marketing team, no data team, no investor pitch deck. It's one person and the apps.
The promise
We do not sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
We do not show you ads. Inside our apps, on our website, or anywhere we have a say.
We do not track you across the internet. No advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no third-party trackers.
We do not require an account unless an app literally cannot work without one.
What we generally collect
Across our apps, we collect as little as we can get away with. The categories that may apply, depending on the app:
Subscription status, if the app has a paid tier. Apple or Google handles the billing — we never see your card. We only learn whether you're an active subscriber.
App settings and saved data, stored on your device. If an app has cloud sync, we say so in the app-specific section below.
Crash reports and aggregate usage stats from Apple and Google. We use these to fix bugs. They are aggregated and do not identify you personally.
What we generally do NOT collect
Your name, email, phone number, or address — unless an app needs it for something specific, and we'll say so up front.
Your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera — unless the app's stated job needs them.
Anything for advertising purposes. There are no ads in any NoBS app.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
If you live in California, the EU, the UK, or anywhere with data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, and to opt out of any data sharing. (We don't share with advertisers — the right exists anyway.) Email us and we'll handle it within 14 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify subscribers in-app where applicable.
App-specific notes
Below, each NoBS app has its own short section describing anything specific to that app — third-party services it talks to, data it stores in the cloud, etc.
NoBS Movies
What it does: Tells you where movies are available to stream, rent, or buy. Does not host or play video itself.
Third parties NoBS Movies talks to:
RapidAPI / Movie of the Night LLC — receives your search queries (movie titles only) so it can return streaming-availability data. They do not receive any information about you personally.
RevenueCat — verifies your subscription status with Apple/Google so we know whether to unlock the app. Receives only your subscription identifier.
Apple / Google — handle subscription billing under their own privacy policies.
Data stored on your device only: Your selected streaming services and watchlist. They never leave your phone unless you choose to use cloud sync (currently not enabled — when it is, we'll update this page first).
What we do not see: What movies you actually watch on third-party services. We just tell you where they are. The streaming service is the one that knows what you watched.
FloorShift
What it does: Lets a restaurant manager build the weekly front-of-house schedule, invite staff by text, and run shift swaps and coverage requests inside the app.
What FloorShift stores in the cloud (Supabase):
The restaurant's name, time zone, business hours, and the services/roles you've turned on.
Your staff list — first name and phone number (for SMS invites) or email (for email invites). Phone numbers are stored only so the app can text them an invite code.
Shifts you've built and which staff members are assigned to them.
Shift problem requests, open shifts, and pickup offers.
Push notification tokens (Apple/Google) so we can ping you when something needs your attention. We do not use these for marketing.
Third parties FloorShift talks to:
Supabase — hosts the database and authentication for the app. Stores the data listed above.
Apple iCloud Push / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications to your phone. They do not see message contents.
RevenueCat — verifies your subscription with Apple/Google. Receives only your subscription identifier.
Apple / Google — handle subscription billing under their own privacy policies.
What we do NOT collect: Your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. We do not read your iMessage thread — when you invite staff by SMS, the app opens your own Messages app and you tap Send. We never see the message.
Staff data: If your manager adds you as staff by phone number, FloorShift stores your first name and phone number until your manager removes you or asks us to delete the account. Email martin.shepherd8367@gmail.com to request deletion.
How long we keep data
On-device data stays until you delete the app or wipe the data inside it.
Account data, if any: deleted within 14 days of you asking us to delete it.
Subscription records: kept indefinitely for tax and accounting purposes, as required by law.
Who we share data with
Only the third parties listed in each app's section above. Each one is named, with a one-line reason. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies. We will never add a partner to this list without first updating this page.
